Development Phase

(3-6 years)

During this phase the project will have minimal impact on your property. You will be paid annual option payments that are calculated on a per acre basis. Some landowners may host meteorological towers on their property during this period that would come with additional compensation.

Construction Phase

(1-2 years)

Construction is the project’s most disruptive period. There will be a lot of vehicle activity and possible crop damage. You are paid a fee at the start of construction and the per acre rates are typically higher during this period.

Operations Phase

(40+ years)

After construction is complete the project enters the operations phase. There is minimal activity on the property during operations as renewable projects generally do not require much help to keep running. Payments are made on an annual basis based on the facilities sited on the property.
